I was asked to make a quick and simple annual fundraising theme (poster and web banner) using the Lily Pulitzer look (that I wasn’t aware of until this project–now I know!). I wasn’t going to post this project, but happened to see it printed and on display today so couldn’t resist snapping a picture.

church communication: Salem 175 timeline
my first accordion-fold print project, an 8-panel (4.75 x 7 ” finished size) booklet that has a massive 175-year timeline on one side and accompanying memorabilia on the other, a tedious but fun and worthy project to help a church celebrate 175 years.
took these pictures with my phone, which is why they don’t look great, but wanted to show the full effect of the accordion fold. very happy with Uprinting, who worked with me to produce this outside-the-box project!

pro bono: Comer Family Medicine logo
A friend of mine is working on her Masters of Public Health, and one of her project teams wanted to help a young physician just finishing his residency at UNC. His goal is to start a free/sliding scale clinic in rural Comer, Georgia that offers quality healthcare to refugees entering America from war-torn countries, and who rarely seek medical care because they do not have insurance. The clinic, Comer Family Medicine, will be working closely with a non-profit organization called Jubilee Partners which cares for these refugees as well. I hate having to put in so little time on great projects, but this is the best i could do at midnight with the couple hours i could squeeze in during this busy season. I wish the clinic great success in helping their patients!

pro bono: Grab Your Greens logo
my grab your greens friends are my friends because we bond over our weird food ideas, like a preference for kale salad over junk food, and also striving to be physically and spiritually fit. LeAnne and Dawn write a blog called grab your greens that houses a lot of great recipes and thoughts on life, and they allowed me to design this logo for their site. the chard leaf with the cross is based on the artwork Dawn originally drew for their blog, so i gave it a graphic refresh that works with the new logo.
pro bono: ACE Adventure shirts
pro bono personal project: once again commissioned by my friend who plans our annual july 4th camping adventure and requires a custom group t-shirt to go along with it:
customink.com prints our shirts. this year, they sent us a couple extras THAT I DID NOT DESIGN by mistake. still, we made good use of them:
model: my husband joe
Church Communication/Pro Bono: oneL1FE campaign
oneL1FE: a capital stewardship campaign which ran in the fall of 2011, a call for the church to finish paying off their new building as well as a call to step out into the community in service, if only to change one life. this pro-bono project was extensive (meaning i worked on it instead of sleeping since i still had a corporate day job at the time)—included indoor and outdoor signage, car magnets, a booklet mailer, postcard, coffee cups, and kids’ collection banks.

Pro Bono: fundraiser tshirts
action was an amazing angel of a kid who lost his battle with cancer a couple of years ago. his mom was equally amazing in fighting for him and has gone on to advocate from the capital and speaks across the country at conferences asking for improvements in pediatric cancer research and medication. the family began raising funds through duke’s angels among us walks as well as st. baldricks head shaving events. action loved cars, so this first design i did for a walk was carefully art directed to his liking!
this went on the back of a st. baldrick’s event shirt almost 2 years ago.
‘
a local Christian school holds an annual basketball event fundraiser for cancer research. i designed this version several years ago for them. (they have repeated the design in subsequent years in different color schemes)
an MS walk team “Momentum” logo and tshirt i was asked to design. the momentum logo has been repurposed in subsequent years on the team shirts.

Pro Bono: A Neet Place
a lovely second set of parents/wise mentors of ours was able to purchase a dream lake home after the death of his mother Neet, and they named the place after her. stadium cups were wanted to stock the kitchen… i have no idea what they had in mind when they asked for a stadium cup design, but this is what they got and used!

Pro Bono: Beer Tap Label
My multi-talented brother-in-law brews beer and works wood. he was commissioned to make beer for his childhood best friend’s wedding shower, and also crafted wooden beer taps for the beer, which my sister asked me to make labels for. 4/20 was the date of their wedding last year. it was done quickly with 2 non-designers art-directing me (i only let family do this to me), but still, a fun project!
